History
History Matters – Pass it on.. That’s the ethos of the Sanders Draper History Department – They even wear it on their tee shirts!
The department encourages a love of history, fostered by an investigative approach to learning. Students are given a good grounding in the knowledge, skills and ideas which are needed for examination success. Cross curricular themes, such as Economic Awareness, Citizenship, ICT, Literacy and Numeracy are included.
Each dedicated classroom has it’s own interactive white board, giving access to the widest and most up to date range of learning resources that the young historian could wish for alongside
traditional resources such as text and topic books and original source materials.
The department is led by Mr McCluskey with his own inimitable style of teaching and wry sense of humour, who, backed up by experience of Mrs Power, work together to bring out the best in their students.
