School Meals
The school has its own kitchen and dining facilities. Any student who wishes to do so may have a meal during the mid-day break. There is a choice of food, both hot and cold, with a cafeteria service. Healthy snack and soft drink machines are available before school and during breaks.
In addition, a breakfast facility operates. The dining room opens at 8.00 and closes at 8.40am.
During the lunch hour we operate a Lunch Pass system and all students are expected to remain on site unless they go home for lunch at the request of their parents or carers. The right to leave the site can be withdrawn if a student misuses the opportunity they have been given on trust.

Sanders Draper School
Since September 07 we have introduced a new style of service within the dining hall and several new products that have improved the service greatly. We now have a self service salad bar where there is a choice of freshly made salads that change regularly and also a selection of self help fruit which are available in a small or large container for a very reasonable price.
There is still the choice of main meals which are freshly cooked each day and are made with fresh ingredients and are all available served with free vegetables or salad. These can be purchased with a hot dessert for the price of a free school meal which is £2.05. We have also introduced a new stone baked pizza called Tuscany which can be either Margherita or topped with a choice of spicy chicken, pepperoni, bacon or spicy beef and they are proving to be very popular.
We also offer freshly cooked pasta with a choice of sauces both vegetarian and meat based served in a handy heatproof container.
All of the main meals are now served on plates and trays which has greatly improved the dining experience and the new service layout has increased the number of students that we serve and the speed of the service which is also important.
We still have the usual choice of filled baguettes, sandwiches and wraps available from a chilled cabinet that are made daily.
