  Havering Cup Final

Sanders Draper 2-1 Royal Liberty

The game started off at a slow pace and it was Sanders who had the early chances and Mason Oakley was unlucky not to put the team ahead, also George Bishop tried a ambitious overhead kick which went over the bar. Then after good play between Billy Whitcomb and Danny Walker down the left, a good cross by Danny resulted in a goal from James Mitchell’s looping header. Royal liberty then came back with a few chances, and George Clark pulled off a fine save. After a goal-line clearance that seemed to be over the line and Alex Coney’s shot that went wide, Royal Liberty finally scored when their striker neatly tucked the ball into the bottom corner, leaving the keeper no chance. The second half began and Sanders were on top, with a few shots on goal from Greg Harris and Shaun Farrow. Then great defending by Greg Knock kept the score line level and more shots came even closer for Sanders. Connor Feeney and Ben Nicholl then replaced Greg Harris and Danny Walker. The game started to pick up some pace, and yet again James Mitchell and Jack Munns came close with a few long range shots. With extra time on the cards, a great tackle by Greg Knock and a good pass from Jack Munns set James Mitchell up for his second goal of the game. This goal sealed the game and Sanders were now Champions of Havering and Essex! Jack Munns was award the Man of the Match award.
