School Council
We have raised a staggering amount of money this term - £1,500 will go to our link school in Cuba to help with the repairs following the damage caused by Hurricane IKE.
In addition, £767 was raised on the day of Children in Need and £220 for Crisis at Christmas at the recent Carol Concert.
The School Council now has four working parties and after Christmas will be inviting students to apply to become members of these groups.

Awards Evening at The Queen’s Theatre
Congratulations to the many students who will collect their awards for last year’s successes at the Queen’s Theatre on Monday 12th January 2009.
There will be a late start to school on Tuesday 13th January following the Awards Evening. Registration will take place at 9.45am. This confirms the details in the school’s calendar that was circulated earlier this term and published on the school’s website - sandersdraper.org.uk.
Change of status to foundation
Following the informal consultation that took place in the summer, I would advise you that the governing body has decided to proceed to the formal consultation stage to change the status of the school to foundation. A public notice was published in the local press on 12th December 2008 to confirm that this is our intention and to invite comments from anyone with an interest.
Alongside the public notice we are also required to publish a formal proposal and this can be seen on the school's website. If you would like to make a comment please send this to us in writing care of the school or email it to governors@sandersdraper.org.uk The closing date for comments is 11th January 2009.
