Revision classes for yr 11 in MFL.

French :
Mrs Mawer : every Wednesdays lunchtime and after school
Miss L'Akremi : preparation for retakes every Mondays lunchtime Listening and reading practice Wednesday after school
To be confirmed : additional revision classes will take place on Saturdays for 2 hours for French groups from 10h to 12h

Spanish :
Miss Boscia: every Mondays after school
Miss Cestonaro : every Wednesdays and Fridays lunchtimes
Miss L'Akremi : every Tuesdays and Thursdays after school

All students have the opportunity to study two languages at Sanders Draper. In year 7 all students study French. In year 8, set 1 and 2 have the opportunity to study Spanish. Students have the option to take French and Spanish at GCSE level.

Our aim is to encourage creative linguists who enjoy language learning and want to continue studying languages in the future. Learning languages helps pupils develop their communication, thinking and team work skills which are vital for the work place.

At Sanders, pupils learn how to use language effectively in a range of contexts and develop an understanding and appreciation of other cultures. They are given opportunities to use their language skills for real purposes during the yr 7 day trip to Boulogne and yr 9 residential trip to Paris, both of which are highly popular. There is also a weekly language club where students have the chance to practise French or Spanish in a relaxed and fun environment.
