The role of the Governing Body is to work with the school to set its vision and long term aims, agree the priorities for development and to monitor and evaluate its overall performance to ensure we provide the best possible education for our students.

The Governing Body works very hard to support the school throughout the year. The Governing Body meets as a whole body twice a term and several other times throughout the year to discuss students and their progress, the curriculum, results and achievement and the direction of the School. Each Governor is a member of one of three active committees that meets regularly to look specifically at: Standards and Policy; Staffing; Communications and Finance.

Each Governor is also linked directly to a Subject / Department to ensure partnership
working and transparency throughout the schools structure. Governors liaise with their Department during the course of the year and report back to the Governing body on specific targets and progress for that area.
